'Interview with Myself'

When I was young
I knew where I was going
And I knew where I was from
-- But how is that even possible?!
Well I knew it, because
I didn’t expect myself to know it
I was just there.
-- And then, what happened?
I started expecting
And that threw me
Completely off balance
-- And then, what happened?
I wrote some songs
I decided to make an EP out of them
I worked really hard on getting it exactly right
I realised, it will never be exactly right
(What even is exactly right?!)
I accepted that I had expectations
and that I would always be doing my best
to achieve these
And then I…….completed my EP!
